  • Karine Guliyan She was born in Baku, which she fled in 1988. She moved to Kalbajar district in 2005, to the village of Nor Bradjurb. She has three sons: the oldest is ill, the middle child fought in the war, the youngest has been by her side all along. Their house was burnt down when they fled from Karabakh. She would still like to return there. When she arrived in Yerevan as a refugee she was diagnosed with stomach cancer and her medicine is very expensive. She had surgery and receives very little help. She doesn’t know for how long she can endure her situation but her main focus is keeping her family together.
