Gerogi Simonyan – Quarvachar, Horhanesi Born in 1953. He also fought in Afghanistan in the 80’s as a member of the Soviet ar-my. He has been wearing his military dog tag around his neck ever since, one of the few personal belongings he could keep and bring with him. On September 3, 2020 he was hospitalized with heart problems in the city of Stepanakert. Four days later war broke out, the hospital came under fire, and he was moved to a local hospital in Shu-shi. He was unable to return after he moved to Yerevan and knows nothing about his home. His wife’s brother also lost his life in the war. (Gerogi Simonyan died a month after this picture was taken)
